Producer Info: The House of Laurent Perrier was founded in 1812 by André Michel Pierlot & took the name Vve Laurent-Perrier when Mathilde Emilie Perrier, the widow of Eugène Laurent, combined the two family names after she decided to expand the business.
In 1945, Bernard de Nonancourt began an exacting apprenticeship, learning every aspect of winemaking from vine to cellar, before his appointment in October 1948 as Chairman & Chief Executive. He created the signature Laurent-Perrier style of freshness, lightness & elegance.
In 1968, Laurent Perrier launched Cuvée Rosé Brut in an elegant bottle inspired by those made in the time of French King Henri IV. For this innovation, Bernard de Nonancourt & his staff once again displayed outstanding winemaking creativity, & decided to use a skin contact maceration technique, also known as saignée. This calls for special care & know-how. It is used to extract the maximum aromatic richness from the Pinot Noir grapes & obtain a wine of a delicate, salmon-pink colour.
Revered by wine-lovers for its flavours and by aesthetes for the beauty of its 17th century-style bottle, Laurent-Perrier Rose is one of the stars in the range.
