This isn’t just a business, Liquorice is part of the Shenfield community. We’ve been on the high street since 2013, serving the folks of Shenfield, Brentwood and the surronding towns and villages of Essex. We’re proud to support the actions of Brentwood Connected business group, the Brentwood Art Trail, Essex and Herts Air Ambulance and various local community groups.
We specialise in great wines, beers and spirits for sale on and off the premises and via our online shop with free local delivery and click & collect options. We’ve also built a reputation as a specialist cheesemonger thanks to our walk-in cheese room, extensive cheese selection and our dedicated staff. Our deli items and speciality food products continue the theme. Many are available to buy in store or online.

Liquorice Wine & Deli hosts regular wine tasting nights (usually on Wednesdays) in the store. These vary according to season and we’ll often have visiting wine makers or brand ambassadors walking us through the wines. Tasting nights include a delicious cheese platter, served with bread, crackers and chutney. Our champagne and rosé wine tastings are some of the most popular we do.
We can also host a private tasting in store for groups of four or more and arrange for tastings at your home or business if you’re in our area. These can be tailored to your needs. Contact us to find out more.

We offer an extensive range of still and sparkling wines, champagne, craft beers and ales, spirits and soft drinks. We have an extensive range of low and no alcohol drinks too. In our deli, we sell over 50 different cheeses from our walk-in cheese room, a large range of deli products. At Liquorice you can buy products to eat and drink in or to take away. We also have an online shop for nationwaide delivery.

Sure. We’re less than a 5 minute walk from Shenfield station for express trains and the Elizabeth Line so we’re easily reachable by train. Shenfield is also served by a number of local bus routes, connecting to Basildon, Billericay, Ongar, Brentwood, Chelmsford, Hutton and Warley. (Some are weekend only).
