The Wine:

This stunner from Château Sainte Marguerite is one of the ultimate expressions of this famous region’s rosé wines. Finesse, elegance, and aromatic pleasure – it is clear and bright with a light pink hue. On the nose, it’s floral and delicate with aromas of white flowers and passion fruit. On the palate, delicate acidity with notes of peach, orange peel, and exotic fruits. Comes in a rather stylish shaped bottle to boot… This could well be the best rosé in the world.

Grapes are from Grenache and Cinsault vines dating back to 1936.

Skin contact maceration at cold temperature before pressing and fermentation at temperature controlled. This promotes the formation of delicate primary fruit varietal character, typical of these grapes. The juice spends some time on fine lees to give the wine some texture.

Symphony Rosé is a great wine for gastronomy and is at its best when served with fine cuisine and high-quality produce. Enjoy with truffle and scallop risotto, seafood, sushi, and Thai dishes. Serve chilled.

Further Info:

Château Sainte-Marguerite is a Cru Classé [one of only 18] estate in the coastal village of Londe-les-Maures in the Var départment of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region of southeastern France. It was founded in 1929 by Andre Chevillon, established on a vineyard that went back into antiquity. In 1977 Brigitte and Jean-Pierre Fayard bought the estate which continues to be family run. At the time of the Fayard’s acquisition the property covered 11 hectares, but today that has been extended to 75. The vines enjoy a Mediterranean climate and are farmed organically, having gained organic certification in 2003. They grow the red Grenache, Mourvedre, Cinsault, Syrah, Carignan and Cabernet Sauvignon, and the white Rolle, and Sémillon grape varieties on weathered clay and schist soils, and some of the vines were planted in 1936. The wines are vegan, stylish and juicy, with a pleasing aromatic structure and exceptional minerality, presented in eye-catching bottles.
